Workshop on “Strengthening the role of the Centers for Internal Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions” organized on 19.12. 2014

“Erasmus +” Office in Albania in collaboration with experts of HERE organized at Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi " University the workshop titled: " Strengthening the role of the Centers for Internal Quality Assurance in Higher Education Institutions". This workshop was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Sports, members of the National Commission on the Reform of Higher Education, as well as representatives of the European Union Delegation in Tirana. The event had brought together members of academic staff from higher education institutions of Tirana , Korça , Gjirokastra , Elbasan , Vlora , Durres ect.
The seminar addressed issues related to the challenges of internal quality assurance in Albanian Universities and strengthening the role of the Centers for creating a new culture of quality in our academic staff. Representatives of the Public Accreditation Agency for Higher Education presented their standards for quality assurance. The seminar was moderated by Mrs. Dhurata Kuqi, representative of the Polytechnic University of Tirana and was reported by Mrs. Fatmira Shehu representative of the Agricultural University of Tirana.
The opening speech was made by Prof.as.dr Fatmir Vadahi (vice Rector of Shkodra University "Luigj Gurakuqi") and Mrs. Edit Dibra (National Coordinator of the “Erasmus+” Office in Albania). The activity went on by the speech titled “The perspective of the academic staff in strengthening the culture of quality in Albanian Higher Education Institutions” made by Mrs. Anila Paparisto, representative of HERE and professor at Tirana University, Faculty of Natural Sciences. Other presentation were made by representatives of the TEMPUS Project “EUREQA”, Prof. dr. Arjeta Troshani , Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Shkodra University and Mr. Fatmir Memaj, vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics at University of Tirana.
