The ceremony for the presentation of the new Rector of Shkodra University “Luigj Gurakuqi”, Prof. dr. Adem Bekteshi and the elected Deans of Faculties organised on 05/30/2016.

The ceremony for the presentation of the new Rector of Shkodra University “Luigj Gurakuqi”, Prof. dr. Adem Bekteshi and the elected Deans of Faculties, was organised on 05/30/2016. The meeting took place at the Senate room of the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi".  Prof. dr. Adem Bekteshi was officially represented as the Rector of Shkodra University,  by President´s decree dated 26.05.2016 after the elections which took place at this University on April 20, 2016.

This ceremony was attended by all the new leading authorities of Shkodra University, emerging from these elections.

Prof. dr. Adem Bekteshi in his speech said: “ All the leading structures of Shkodra University assume a great responsibility for the development of our University which has a 60-year tradition.

Quality in all aspects of academic life will be our common motto. We must be coherent on the way of development, progress and modern standards which are required nowadays. Our commitment will be versatile in order to make the University of Shkodra not only a centre of important knowledge but also a source of energy for society. We will be oriented towards more advanced models of Europe in order to achieve the parameters of contemporary higher education. This will be done through the expansion of cooperation with different international universities, organization and participation of scientific conferences, training of the academic staff, application and development of joint projects as well as free mobility of students. "
