The University of Shkodra " Luigj Gurakuqi ", The Center of Albanian Studies and "Ndre Mjeda" Museum organized the activity titled "Mentor Quku and studies on Mjeda". This activity was organised at the University Library and during this activity there was promoted the magazine titled "Mjeda Studies". In the first edition there was published a summary of two scientific conferences dedicated to Ndre Mjeda. In this summary there are published works of famous scholarly such as: Tomor Osmani, Kolec Topalli , Mentor Quku, Alfred Çapaliku, Shaban Sinani, Artan Haxhi, Fatbardha Fishta, Nik Ukgjini, Zeqirja Neziri etc.
In the preamble of this summary, the Director of the Research Center of Albanian Studies, Prof. dr. Ardian Marashi writes: “The figure of Ndre Mjeda is the most attractive throughout the history of Albanian literature. Mjeda has always awakened and continues to awaken the interest of researchers and readers. Both the author and his work constitute a reamarkable phenomenon which is marked today as the most precious part of modern literary culture".
The researchers Nike Ukgjini and Mentor Quku wrote in the foreword of the magazine the following: "With studies on Mjeda - 1" starts an important cycle of studies on the life and work of one of the key figures of the Renaissance. Mjeda is one of the most read, most studied and most controversial in the history of linguistics, literature and culture".
During this activity, the Rector of Shkodra University "Luigj Gurakuqi ", prof. dr. Artan Haxhi, praised the unique contribution of the researcher Mentor Quku. Among other things he said that the voluminous study of this author was very valuable for all Albanian academies. He added: "Mentor Quku's work constitutes one of the pillars of bibliographic resources of Ndre Mjeda"
On this occasion, the University of Shkodra awarded to Mr. Mentor Quku the title “Honorary Professor " accorded by the Senate of Shkodra University with the following motivation: "For special contributions to Mjeda studies and the inciator of the scientific work titled “Shkodra in Centuries”, conducted in collaboration with the University of Shkodra " .
The daughter of the researcher, Valbona Quku , thanked the the Rector for this assessment, then she read to an audience the message of the researcher Quku in which he apologized for not participating in this meeting.
In this event there also welcomed Prof. dr. Ardian Marashi (director of the Research Center of Albanian Studies), Deputy Minister of Culture, Mr. Zef Çuni, Prof. as. dr . Mimoza Priku, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences.
