13th week of Italian Language and Culture in the World

On 14.16 and 17 October 2013 there was opened the week of Italian language and culture in the world. This ceremony was organised in the conference room of the University Library. Italian consul in Shkodra, Dott . Maurizio Polselli, was present in this ceremony and he welcomed participants and organisers of this activity. In his speech he said: “This week is a good opportunity for people of our two countries and this activity best serves to increase and strengthen cooperation , even in point of view of employment between our country".

Once declared opened the thirteenth week of Italian culture in the world , Dott. Polselli gave the floor to Mr. Carmine di Giandomenico, a lecturer at the " Luigi Gurakuqi " University, who made the presentation of a detailed program of activities that will take place across the country as part of Italian culture week .

 There were also presented some of the literary work in the framework of the competition titled "intinerary in the Peninsula". The objective of this competition is open to all students of Italian- Albanian sections of the districts of Tirana, Korca and Shkodra. It consists of a collection and presentation of stories, impressions that stressed out the Italian art and architecture by teaching us literary writing, narrative and other forms of expression. This competition ends on December 4, 2013  and evaluation committee will announce the first winner of national best performance from the three districts and a second prize for the best work in each district .

On October 16, 2013 there will be organised a seminar titled: "Research, discovery, innovation , Italy the country of knowledge". This conference will be dedicated to Italian contribution to scientific progress, cultural and civilization in Europe and the worldwide. At this conference there will be presented following papers :

Prof.Augusta Brettoni ( University of Florence ): Italy 's literature: Tradition , joint research and innovation.

Prof.as.dr. Alma Hafizi ( University of Shkodra " Luigj Gurakuqi”): Italian contribution to European civilization and culture.

Dr. Eliana Laçej ( University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi "): Gloto-didactics Research in Italian intercultural perspective L2/LS.

Ma Ingrid Tirana ( University of Shkodra " Luigj Gurakuqi "): Some observations on the speech of social networking, online communications, neologisms and acronyms.

In the second session which will organised on 17 October 2013 the following proferssors will present their work:

Prof . dr . Irena Lama ( University of Tirana , Department of Italian studies): Lemon Perfume, by Brigidinqa Gentile.

Dr. Alva Dani (University of Shkodra " Luigj Gurakuqi") : Umberto Eco, a living encyclopedia.
