"Honorary Citizen" of Shkodra city titled goes to the Doctor Fiqiret Bushati (posthumously)

The Scientific Library of Shkodra University "Luigj Gurakuqi" under the auspices of the Rector of this University, Prof. dr. Artan Haxhi, hosted the ceremony on the occasion of title awarding of "Honorary Citizen" of Shkodra city to Doctor Fiqiret Bushati (posthumously).
The event took place at "Walter Hoeflechner" room at University Scientific Library, on Friday 12, 2015.
This ceremony was attended by a great number of academic staff members of the university, local government authorities, students and citizens. For many years, Dr. Bushati, worked with devotion in the Microbiological Diagnostic Centre “Wolfdieter Sixl" at the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi" which was in the service to students and the community too. His work was characterized by humanity.
The activity started with a documentary film with moments from the life and work of Dr. Fiqiret Bushati. The microbiologist doctor, Dr. Robert Andoni, said that it was a loss for the community but he also expressed the satisfaction that doctor Fiqiretit´s memory is perpetuated in the memory of all the citizens of Shkodra city. Prof. dr. Ylli Sarolli brought his memories as a friend, a friend and colleague. He shared his emotions during the ceremony. Prof. dr. Dhimitër Dhora praised the professionalism and ethics that characterised Dr. Bushati. He added: "All his life has contributed to the human health and environmental health." Dr. Merzuk Hoxha described the tireless work of F. Bushat, as well as he estimated his patience with the patients. Dr. Drita Gera recalled the cooperation and praised him not only as a professional worker but also as a missionary of humanity. "Dr. Bushati Fiqiret wrote his own history ", - said Dr. Tahir Sadiku. Prof. dr. Mahir Hoti, former rector of USH featured the image of the doctor as a multifaceted figure while Prof. dr. Irakli Beka said that the doctor and lecturer Fiqiret Bushati will be remembered for his professionalism and humanism.
The title "Honorary Citizen" of Shkodra city given to Mr. Fiqiret Bushati (posthumously) was initiated by the Rector of the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", Prof. dr. Artan Haxhi and was awarded by the City Council of Shkodra. This title was handed to his daughter, Prof. Nevila Bushati, who said: "I am proud that I am the daughter of Dr. Fiqiret Bushati, a figure that was highly estimated by all you today”
