At the end of this study the author, Dr. Arben Prendi, writes: “This paper aims to analyze and interpret some of our novel contemporary trends, aiming to meet the certain deficiency of our literary studies regarding the new Albanian literature. More specifically some authors and works are taken into consideration for the first time in this study. We can not only mention novels of F. Kongoli, V. Koreshi, Z.Çelës, M. Kraja, K. Mehmeti but also the one written by Ismail Kadare as well as the authors who became known in our literature after 1990-s, such as Ridvan Dibra, Bashkim Shehu, Agron Tufa, Ardian-Christian Kyçyku and Ben Blushi”.
In this work there is elaborated the thesis that the Albanian contemporary novel published after 1990-s is an artistic transcript of physical and metaphysical transition of the Albanian society. Occasionally there are noted intertwined poetic features. The author hopes that through this work he provides a new contribution to the knowledge, analysis and interpretation of the literary work of these authors and be useful especially to students and teachers interested in literature who wish to have a clearer picture of Albanian literature in recent years.
