EUREQA - Regional Training Workshop on "Planning study programs"

The project titled “EUREQA” organised the regional training workshop titled: "Planning study programs" in the conference room at the Rectorate of Shkodra University "Luigj Gurakuqi" on 5-6 February 2015.
Prof. dr. Arjeta Troshani, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, also the coordinator of this project among her remarks stated: "The Faculty of Economics of this University has set the overall strategic objective of developing its "Quality Assurance" therefore it is working on the TEMPUS project titled "EUREQA" Empowering Universities in order to fulfil their responsibility for Quality Assurance"
On behalf of the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi”, the Head of the Scientific and Teaching Office, Prof. dr. Irakli Beka, welcomed this activity and also made a picture of the internationalization process and steps taken to ensure the quality of Unishk. He also expressed his appreciation for the importance of the project EUREQA.
The opening of the workshop was welcomed by Mrs. Tia Loukkola, Director of Institutional Development Unit EUA.
In the context of this project, all members of the Quality Committee of the Faculty of Economics are being trained in various thematic workshops related to the quality assurance standards of the best Western Universities.
Expectations of the training titled "Planning study programs" were:
Participants would be able to describe and apply the core principles when they design and develop the curricula.
Participants would be able to develop and evaluate the achievements in the process of learning about the programs and modules in their institutions.
Participants would be able to make the distinguish between the various teaching methods and their application in an appropriate manner.
During the workshop, Mrs. Nora Ryan, in the role of foreign evaluator discussed the institutional action plans for quality assurance with one representative from each university of the Western Balkans.
At the end of this project there will be published a guide to quality standards, which can be used by the academic institutions for all activities related to teaching and research process.
